LIVEX Abu Dhabi 2026

LIVEX

How do you turn a city's quality of life into a powerhouse for long-term economic growth? That was the core question at the heart of the inaugural Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX 2026), which took place from 29 September to 1 October 2026 at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.

Organized by the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), LIVEX arrived with a clear, ambitious proposition: the cities that serve their people best will win everything else. By bridging the gap between urban development, community wellness, and international capital, the landmark event set a brand-new standard for how modern global cities should evolve.

A Mega-Scale Platform for Urban Innovation

LIVEX quickly established itself as a premier global gathering, drawing massive participation from across the international landscape:

  • Record Attendance: The three-day event brought together approximately 26,500 visitors from over 50 countries.

  • High-Level Global Voices: The exhibition hosted more than 1,500 institutional investors and elite speakers, including high-profile international innovators, urban strategists, thinkers, and industry leaders.

  • Staggering Economic Impact: The event wrapped up with over 50 strategic agreements and initiatives finalized, unlocking more than AED 150 billion in total value and spotlighting over AED 100 billion worth of upcoming urban projects.

Core Pillars: When Quality of Life Drives Capital

Rather than looking at infrastructure and economic investments as separate entities, LIVEX focused heavily on Abu Dhabi’s proven development model, where a high quality of life acts as a primary catalyst for economic strength.

Key thematic areas explored across 25 specialized conference sessions included:

  • Human-Centric Neighborhood Ecosystems: Moving past isolated construction to build complete neighborhoods featuring accessible healthcare, active walking pathways, vibrant public spaces, and localized community services.

  • AI and Data-Driven Urbanism: Leveraging artificial intelligence, digital master-planning tools, and resident feedback loops to optimize everything from mobility to district energy efficiency.

  • Culture, Heritage, and Wellness: Integrating Abu Dhabi’s rich local identity, natural environments, and active lifestyle infrastructure, such as community parks and sports complexes, directly into urban planning.

Looking Ahead to 2027

LIVEX 2026 successfully demonstrated that Abu Dhabi's relentless focus on sustainable, human-first growth is paying off, elevating its status not only as one of the most liveable cities in the region, but as a top-tier destination for global capital.

Following the massive success of this inaugural edition, organizers have already confirmed that LIVEX will return to ADNEC Abu Dhabi from 19 to 21 October 2027 to continue shaping the future of global cities.
